Ryu is a South Korean professional golfer and three-time LPGA Tour winner. She joined the LPGA Tour in 2023, recording six top-10 finishes including her win at the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship. That same year she earned the Louise Suggs Rolex Rookie of the Year honors.
In 2024, Ryu had 13 top-10 finishes, the most on Tour. Her season included a win at the FM Championship and three top-10 finishes in majors. As of the 2025 season, she has made nine cuts in 10 starts, earning two top-10 finishes including a win at the Black Desert Championship presented by Greater Zion.
Prior to joining the LPGA, she was a five-time winner on the Korean LPGA (KLPGA) between 2019-2022, with two victories. She was named KLPGA Rookie of the Year in 2020.
