Haeran Ryu is on quite the run over the last 36 holes of the 2026 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship.

After opening with a 73 on Thursday, the 2023 Louise Suggs Rolex Rookie of the Year shot the outright best round of the day on Friday at Hazeltine National (64).

Ryu, who's a three-time winner on the LPGA Tour and began the round 5 strokes back of leader Ina Yoon, backed up her 64 on Friday with a moving day, 4-under-par 68 to lead by one stroke over 2016 KPMG Women’s PGA Champion Brooke Henderson, heading into the final round on Sunday.

"Today my front nine, it was amazing because I got an eagle and three birdies," said Ryu, who is searching for her first Major Championship title. "I started the back nine, it was more windy and a lot of tough shots and tough putts, but I just made one bogey today."

Ryu's 68 was tied for the low round of moving day with Alison Lee and Dewi Weber.

The last player to shoot the outright best score in back-to-back days in the KPMG Women's PGA Championship was Mickey Wright, in each of the first two rounds in 1966 at Stardust Country Club in Las Vegas (68-69).

The last player to shoot the outright best score on back-to-back days in any Major Championship was Nelly Korda during the first and second rounds of the 2026 Chevron Championship (65-65).

Henderson, who also entered the round 5 strokes back of Yoon, shot a 69 on Saturday. The Canada native is attempting to win a second KPMG Women’s PGA Championship 10 years after her maiden Major at Sahalee Country Club in Washington.

"it's been an awesome week. Honestly, I think it's just all thanks to my niece coming into this world, said Henderson, whose sister Brittany gave birth to a girl named Sahalee earlier this week. I've just been really happy. I've been working really hard on myself and also my game coming into this week, so I feel like it's nice to see it pay off a bit."

36-hole leader Ina Yoon of South Korea shot a 75 in Round 3 is two strokes back of Ryu and in third place.

Ryu, Henderson and Yoon will play in the final group tomorrow morning at 9:25 AM CT.
