Zhang is an American professional golfer who turned professional in 2023 following one of the most decorated amateur careers in history. She is a two-time NCAA Women’s Golf Individual Champion (2022, 2023), a back-to-back ANNIKA Awards (2022,2023) and captured the 2023 Augusta National Women’s Amateur title.

Zhang made a historic LPGA Tour debut in 2023, winning the Mizuho Americas Open as a non-member, becoming the first non-member to win on tour since 2022. She competed in 13 events that season, making 12 cuts, and represented the U.S. at the 2023 Solheim Cup.

In 2024, she secured her second career victory at the Founders Cup, with a -24 performance, finished T8 in the Paris Olympic Games and participated in her second Solheim Cup finishing 4-0-0.

Her best result of 2026 is a pair of 9th place finishes at the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions and the Ford Championship presented by Wild Horse Pass.
