2026 has been pretty good to Nelly Korda on the golf course.

The World No. 1 enters the week having already captured both the Chevron Championship and the U.S. Women's Open among her 4 total titles this season. She hasn’t missed a single cut.

Nelly also sits at 25 LPGA Hall of Fame points—just two points shy of the 27-point threshold required for induction. Major Championship wins earn players two points and a win this week at Hazeltine would officially secure her spot in the LPGA Hall of Fame.

“I wouldn't say it's a motivating factor, but it would be something that is -- would be an absolute amazing accomplishment to be alongside some of the best that have ever played in this game on the LPGA Tour.”

“I always say good golf kind of solves everything, and that's my main focus, is just trying to play consistent good golf.”

As for Hazeltine, Korda is ready to take on the third Major Championship of the LPGA season.

“Definitely nice to be back. [I] was here in 2019, so have some good memories. I didn't really remember the golf course until I walked onto it. Definitely nice to be back and going to be a great test.”

Korda is making her 10th appearance in the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship this week. She won the Championship in 2021 at Atlanta Athletic Club and has four, top-20 finishes.

“As it is every major, there is a premium hitting the fairway, because if you don't, you can easily run through these greens if you're in the rough, and then it's just a hard time to make a bunch of up and downs.”

“So a premium on every part of your game, which I love in major championships. Really tests every part of your game even your mental, staying patient.”

Nelly also sits ⅖ of the way to another Major feat – since the modern era of women's golf majors was established, no player has won all the designated majors in a single season. In 1950, Babe Zaharias won all three of the majors that were contested that year. Similarly, in 1974, Sandra Haynie won both majors held that year.

While no one has swept a single season in the modern era, seven women have achieved a Career Grand Slam by winning four different major titles over the course of their careers: Pat Bradley, Juli Inkster, Inbee Park, Annika Sörenstam, Louise Suggs, Karrie Webb, and Mickey Wright. Karrie Webb is the only player to achieve a Grand Slam featuring five different LPGA majors.

Nelly begins her 2026 KPMG Women's PGA Championship campaign on Thursday morning alongside Hannah Green and Sei Young Kim.
