KPMG Honored with the Commissioner's Award

KPMG U.S. Chairman and CEO Lynne Doughtie and former Global Chairman John Veihmeyer were announced as recipients of the 2019 Commissioner’s Award, as the LPGA celebrated its season-ending awards, Nov. 21, at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort in Naples.

The Commissioner's Award, introduced in 1991 by LPGA Commissioner Charlie Mecham, honors a person or organization who has contributed uniquely to the LPGA and its members, who has furthered the cause of women's golf, and whose character and standards are of the highest order.

The KPMG Women’s PGA Championship and KPMG Women’s Leadership Summit serve as catalysts to empower women on and off the golf course. The KPMG Women’s PGA Championship is a world-class Major golf championship with the purpose of elevating women’s golf. As the first partnership between KPMG, the PGA of America and the LPGA it demonstrates KPMG’s commitment to the development, advancement and empowerment of women. The KPMG Women’s Leadership Summit is an investment in women leaders aspiring to reach the C-suite by providing content, tools and networking to encourage their advancement.

The Commissioner's Award is bestowed each year by the current LPGA Commissioner.
